Presented By ADFAS Tamworth Region
Is there a distinctive quality to paintings made by women? Looking at works by both men and women of the same subject, painted at the same periods of history, we will have the opportunity to ponder on what it is to experience the world through a woman’s eyes. Guaranteed to be of interest to the male members of the audience as well!
The Association of Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (ADFAS) is a group of 35 Societies that offer their members a series of monthly informative and entertaining illustrated lectures plus some workshops covering a broad range of subjects relating to art.
The talks are usually complemented by a friendly social gathering before or after with refreshments. Together, the 35 Societies form the Association of Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Societies, the central body responsible for the overall programming and lecturer schedules. Each local Society is managed by a volunteer chairman and committee who organise the presentation of the annual program of six to nine lectures.
